This camp is based on innovative methods allowing young patients and their family members to experience social, educational and physiological recovery after a long medical treatment.
This year for the first time, children patronized by the Charity Fund of Konstantin Khabenskiy, a famous Russian actor, took part in the camp.
Children will remember their weeks spent in the camp as a special time full of adventures, discoveries and new friends. They were able to learn the basics of cartoon animation, visit the cultural and educational center “Etnomir”, go camping, practice beautiful crafts, and most importantly they received great psychological support.
Directors from the St.Petersburg cartoon studio “Da” were teaching special guests of the recovery camp. With their help children created one of the episodes of the cartoon series “A short history of aviation”. It is not only the first cartoon worldwide dedicated to aviation and created by children, but also an efficient art-therapy method. Children worked themselves at the screenplay, drew and voiced characters as well as mastered cartoon technologies.
