The total energy savings achieved by the nine winners is comparable to the annual consumption of 1,200 households, i.e., 3,568.5 MWh. The majority of energy saving was due to new lighting technologies and light control systems. Bayer achieved an energy saving of 728 MWh/year or 72%, Banque de France saved 68 MWh/year or 78%. VINCI Park achieved a saving of 250 MWh/year or 61%.
Commitment rewarded
As the Main Endorser of the EU GreenLight-programme, ETAP encourages its customers to become a GreenLight Partner. This implies that the customer commits to replacing half of their lighting installations with more efficient lighting within five years, or to cutting total energy consumption for lighting by at least 30%. The GreenLight Partnership provides the customer with visibility as an energy-efficient company, as well as with a considerably lower energy bill.
In addition, Europe rewards the best projects each year with a GreenLight Award. That customers highly value this Award, appears from VINCI Park’s Antoine Neri’s reaction: “GreenLight represents an amazing tool to gain recognition for the efforts made by our teams. The award rewards our commitment to always opt for environmentally friendly technologies.”
