Temporary suspension of operations at Raspadskaya mine

To ensure safe mining operations and the elimination of the causes starting from May 14, 2013 all underground operations at the mine were halted except for the supporting safety operations.

The Company makes everything possible in order to resume mining operations in the shortest time frame. The situation with the temporary suspension of the operations at Raspadskaya mine will not affect the total Company’s sales, Raspadskaya Coal Company guarantees the fulfilment of obligations under long-term contracts with the strategic partners as the Company will be able to compensate with increased production at other assets, and with increased shipments from its storages.
