Stockount is proud to announce the release of its enhanced Audit Resolution Module, a powerful feature designed to bring greater transparency, accountability, and financial accuracy to inventory management.
Inventory audits are only as valuable as the actions taken after discrepancies are identified. With Stockount’s improved Audit Resolution process, businesses can now confidently review, verify, and finalize stock variances through a structured, role-based workflow.
Turning Discrepancies into Decisions
The Audit Resolution module serves as the final administrative phase of any stock audit. Once auditors complete physical counts, the system automatically compares the Expected stock levels with the Actual counts and highlights discrepancies.
From there, Audit Owners can:
- Review each variance in detail
- Decide whether to Accept, Recount, or Investigate
- Track financial impact through automated variance value calculations
- Maintain a complete audit trail for compliance and accountability
This ensures that inventory adjustments are not only accurate but also well-documented.
A Clear, Role-Based Experience
Stockount ensures that every team member sees exactly what they need — and nothing more.
- Auditors focus solely on performing counts.
- Cross Auditors manage cross-verification tasks.
- Audit Owners and Super Admins oversee the Audit Summary and Resolution process.
When accessing an ongoing Cycle Count or Complete Count audit, owners land on a centralized Audit Summary Hub, where they can monitor progress, adjust settings, or begin resolving discrepancies.
Stage 1: Smart Variance Resolution
The system presents a structured table of all items with discrepancies. Advanced filters allow managers to quickly narrow results by category or status.
Each variance requires a clear action:
- Accept – Confirm the count and proceed with adjustment
- Recount – Assign a different auditor for verification
- Investigate – Flag the item for deeper internal review
- Pending – Default status (all items must be resolved before completion)
For efficiency, bulk actions can be applied to multiple items at once.
To support informed decision-making, Stockount provides detailed item popups that include:
- Auditor details
- Variance breakdown (color-coded for clarity)
- Recent audit photos
- Historical audit performance records
This gives managers the full context behind every discrepancy.
Stage 2: Controlled Recount Management
When recounts are required, Stockount seamlessly transitions users to the Resolution Recount Screen.
Managers can:
- Assign qualified auditors mapped to the correct branch
- Create recount audits only after all items are cleared from pending status
- Monitor status updates from “Yet to Start” to “Completed”
This structured approach prevents loose ends and ensures operational control.
Stage 3: Final Summary and Completion
Before closing the audit, managers are presented with a comprehensive resolution summary:
- Total Accepted items
- Total Recounted items
- Total Investigated items
- Financial variance overview
Users can add closure notes, export full reports to Excel, and complete the audit with final confirmation. Once approved, inventory records are automatically updated in the system.
Built for Complex Inventory Environments
Stockount also supports specialized inventory structures:
- Serialized Inventory – Tracks and displays individual serial numbers for precise adjustments
- Batch Inventory – Displays batch numbers alongside items to ensure accurate lot-level corrections
This makes the solution ideal for industries handling regulated, high-value, or traceable stock.
