Skillodontics, the educational division of Periodontal and Implant Surgeons of Houston, is pleased to announce its upcoming clinical training program, “Mastering Digital Implant Planning,” scheduled for this April. This advanced course is designed to help dental professionals improve their understanding of modern implant planning and transition toward more precise, digital workflows.
As dental technology continues to evolve, clinicians are increasingly looking for continuing education programs that offer both practical experience and real-world application. The Skillodontics April intensive addresses this need by combining structured learning with hands-on training, giving participants the opportunity to strengthen both their knowledge and clinical skills.
The program offers 24 hours of continuing education credit and includes a mix of guided instruction and supervised clinical experience. Participants will gain exposure to modern planning techniques and, in select cases, may observe or assist in live patient procedures under the supervision of experienced specialists.
The course is led by Dr. Pedro Trejo and Dr. Arun Vashisht, a highly experienced team with backgrounds in both clinical practice and dental education. Dr. Trejo is a board-certified specialist and educator, while Dr. Vashisht is a prosthodontist with over 19 years of experience in advanced restorative care. Together, they bring a combined perspective that blends academic knowledge with practical, patient-focused treatment.
The training program focuses on improving accuracy in full-mouth implant procedures by introducing clinicians to digital tools that support better planning and outcomes. Instead of relying solely on traditional impression methods, participants will learn how digital systems can help capture more precise data, reduce inconsistencies, and improve the fit and function of implant restorations.
A key goal of the course is to help clinicians develop a structured approach to treatment planning. By understanding how to use digital imaging, guided workflows, and modern fabrication techniques, participants can enhance both efficiency and predictability in their practice.
The April Intensive Curriculum Includes:
Advanced diagnostic techniques for improved treatment planning
Training in digital implant planning software
Introduction to modern workflows for surgical guide design
Hands-on learning opportunities in a clinical setting
Practical insights from experienced specialists
This program is ideal for dental professionals who want to move beyond basic implant procedures and incorporate more advanced, precise techniques into their work. It is particularly valuable for clinicians interested in improving outcomes in complex or full-arch cases.
Registration for the April session is now open.
