Examinations for the HICHERT®IBCS software certification are carried out by independent software industry analyst firm BARC to determine if a vendor’s software is compliant with IBCS standards for the design of visualizations for successful business communication. Applied to the design of BI applications with SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio and graphomate charts, IBCS enable SAP customers to quickly deploy engaging BI across an organization.
The new certification validates that HICHERT®IBCS-compliant charts can be created with SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio and graphomate charts 2. By leveraging IBCS with analytics solutions from SAP, customers can achieve:
- Faster, more actionable decision-making through commonly understood visualizations and focused storytelling
- Optimization and acceleration of the delivery of impactful BI projects
- Engagement and alignment across an entire organization to create an information-driven culture
“The presentation showed clearly that graphomate charts for SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio were specifically designed to create HICHERT®IBCS-compliant charts,” said Prof. Dr. Rolf Hichert, president of the IBCS association. “The speed of producing completely new charts and the flexibility applying various analyses — in seconds, not minutes — was amazing.”
“SAP is committed to enabling customers to create an information-driven culture for a massive adoption of analytics across the organization,” said Michael Reh, executive vice president, Business Information Technology, Products & Innovation, SAP AG. “Working together with thought leaders such as Prof. Dr. Rolf Hichert and the IBCS association helps ensure that analytics solutions from SAP meet evolving industry demands and help our customers to unleash the power of real-time collective insight.”
