Maker Faire Bay Area
The Intel booth will feature hands-on learning activities and demonstrations of projects made with Intel® Galileo and Intel® Edison including a smart shirt, an interactive 1000-LED matrix and a pick-and-place machine for making pebble mosaics. Attendees will have the chance to create their own magic wands using simple circuits and bring them to life with the Intel® Galileo development board.

Presented by Intel, the first MakerCon event will feature maker workshops, sessions and keynotes, including a keynote presentation by Mike Bell, Intel vice president and general manager of the New Devices Group. The event will bring together a variety of individuals at the forefront of the maker movement, spanning experts in digital manufacturing, technology and tools providers.

Making Possibilities Workshop:
Intel will host the first “Making Possibilities” Workshop for educators at the company’s headquarters. Presented in collaboration with the Maker Education Initiative, this day-long workshop will provide the opportunity for educators to explore various approaches to implementing making as a strategy to engage youth in science, technology, engineering, math, arts and learning as a whole.
