Around the world, employees at MasterCard are also rallying to contribute to relief efforts in the Philippines. As part of an employee fundraising campaign, MasterCard is double-matching employee donations at the following organizations through December 31:
- World Food Programme
- American Red Cross
- Canadian Red Cross
- Save the Children
- AmeriCares
- World Vision
- International Rescue Committee
- Mercy Corps
- Doctors Without Borders
In addition, MasterCard is also instituting an interchange waiver for any US/Canadian-based donations to the above organizations through December 31.

Our thoughts are with the families and communities affected by the storm, as well as the people in the Philippines as they work to recover from this tragic event. MasterCard is committed to helping the communities we serve, and will continue to work closely with our partner organizations to provide the needed support for the recovery and rebuilding of the affected communities,” said Vicky Bindra, president, Asia/Pacific, Middle East & Africa, MasterCard.
Note: All contributions made to the American Red Cross to help recovery efforts around Super Typhoon Haiyan will be given to the Philippine National Red Cross.
