KWT Spider has introduced Free SEO Audit, a browser based tool that checks a public web page for search readiness, including how prepared it is for AI generated answers. The tool is available at kwtspider.com/free-audit and does not require any software installation.
The release comes as the form of search results are changing. Many queries now have a written summary at the top of the usual list of links, and website owners are beginning to wonder if their pages are laid out in a way that makes them likely to be summarized or quoted. The majority of page level checks were done using the old list of links so readiness for AI generated answers is a separate question.
Free SEO Audit puts that question in the main report. A user enters the address for a single public page and the tool fetches the page and performs its checks. The report outputs an overall score, a list of ranked priority actions, the evidence found on the page and a preview of the title and description as they might appear in search results. In each issue there will be tips on how to fix it. The audit will cover eight areas: technical set up, on page elements, content, links, images, structured data, performance and readiness for generative engine and AI overview visibility.

Guests may run three audits from the same browser and network without creating an account. Registered users can save their reports and receive a monthly quota of page audits, and the depth of the report is the same either way. For those managing entire websites, a separate Pro workspace provides projects, site crawls, issue tracking, history comparison and scheduled email alerts.
The tool is an extension to KWT Spider 3.0 that made the company’s desktop crawler available on Windows, macOS and Linux. The desktop crawler crawls whole sites on a local machine, and the browser tool runs fast checks on a single page.
