Kenya Camp has announced its upcoming 14-Day Running Camp from 18–31 October 2026 in Iten, Kenya, inviting runners from around the world to train at approximately 2,400 metres (7,800 feet) above sea level in one of the world’s most recognised high-altitude running destinations.
Designed for runners seeking to improve performance while experiencing Kenya’s renowned running culture, the camp combines structured coaching, high-altitude training, professional Kenyan pacers, accommodation, meals, transportation, seminars, cultural experiences and recovery into one fully planned program.
Train Where Champions Train
Known as the “Home of Champions,” Iten is internationally recognised for its high-altitude environment and strong running community. Kenya Camp gives participants the opportunity to experience this unique training environment while following structured workouts designed around their individual running goals.
At approximately 2,400 metres above sea level, Iten provides a challenging environment that encourages runners to adapt to reduced oxygen availability while developing aerobic fitness. Participants will train on the roads, dirt trails, hills and rolling terrain around Iten while experiencing the daily rhythm of Kenya’s famous running community.
A key part of the experience is the opportunity to train alongside Kenyan runners and professional pacers, giving international participants firsthand exposure to the environment and training culture behind Kenya’s long-distance running success.
More Than a Running Camp
Kenya Camp is designed as an immersive experience that goes beyond daily workouts. The 14-day program brings together training, education, coaching, recovery, community and cultural experiences.
Participants receive personalised coaching and structured workouts, with professional guidance focused on running technique, training principles, performance development and recovery. Running seminars and educational sessions provide additional opportunities to understand the practical and scientific principles behind effective training.
The fully planned itinerary allows participants to concentrate on running, recovery and learning without having to manage the logistics of transportation, meals and activities themselves.
A Complete Camp Experience
The October 2026 program includes complimentary accommodation at The Hub or The Lodge, providing runners with a comfortable base throughout their stay.
Daily meals are included, covering breakfast, lunch and dinner, together with fruits, tea and coffee to support participants during their training.
Runners will also have opportunities to enjoy authentic meals at local restaurants, adding a genuine taste of Kenyan food and culture to the experience.
Transportation is covered throughout the organised program, including return airport transfers between Eldoret Airport and Iten, as well as transportation for scheduled camp activities.
Participants will receive an exclusive Kenya Camp running shirt and notebook as a memento of their experience. Professional photography is also included, capturing selected training sessions and giving runners lasting memories of their time training in Iten.
Experience Kenya Beyond Running
For many international runners, travelling to Kenya is about more than improving performance. It is an opportunity to experience the people, culture, landscapes and traditions that have made Kenya a global centre for distance running.
The camp combines focused training with cultural experiences and time for relaxation, allowing participants to discover Iten beyond the workouts and connect with the local running community.
