By securing this honor, International Paper was recognized as one of the Top 100 organizations that challenge its IT staff while providing great compensation and benefits. This also marks the fourth consecutive year that IP has placed among the Top 100 IT companies, as recognized by Computerworld. Honorees and full results from the 20th annual Best Places to Work in IT survey will be included in a special edition of Computerworld issued today.
“Being listed as one of the Best Places to Work in IT for the fourth consecutive year is a great accomplishment for International Paper’s IT team,” said John Balboni, senior vice president, Chief Information Officer. “It is an honor that reflects continued engagement, commitment and teamwork from our roughly 1,500 professionals around the globe.”
International Paper’s IT group is responsible for designing, implementing, upgrading and sustaining the information infrastructure and systems that support 70,000 employees and operations in more than 24 countries worldwide.
“We applaud the organizations on the Best Places to Work in IT list for creating and sustaining dynamic IT work environments,” said Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld. “This year, several new names have joined the stalwarts that make the list year after year. It’s clear that the best IT work places are constantly raising the bar with great benefits, new learning opportunities, access to cutting-edge technologies and challenging business-critical projects.”
