- Premium brand from Hanover comes out top in all three image criteria
- Around 70,000 readers confirm the previous year’s result
- Continental’s brands Uniroyal and Semperit also among the top 10
The Hanover-based brand amassed 70% of the votes for “Quality,” 53% of the votes for “Sportiness,” and 37% of the votes for “Value for Money”. The readers’ poll covered a total of 23 classes. “Of course, we are delighted that the readers of AutoBild have once again delivered such a positive verdict of our premium tire brand Continental. While the fairly large gap in the ‘Quality’ category of 23% to 30% to the tire brands voted into places three to six came as something of a surprise, our pole position for ‘Sportiness’ is proof that there can be other contributing factors to a sporty brand image on top of our commitment in the world of motorsports. The positive appraisal in terms of ‘Value for Money’ shows that many readers understand that the premium quality of the products from our tire brand Continental comes with a corresponding price tag,” said Wolfgang Thomale, head of Marketing and Sales at Continental for the Passenger Car and Light Truck Tire Replacement Business in Germany/Austria/Switzerland.
Nardo High Performance Event 2013
For over ten years, Continental has been the tire partner and organizer of the Tuning Days held by AutoBild sportscars at the Contidrom. Together with the editorial team, Continental regularly invites selected leading tuners to the High Performance Event in Nardo, southern Italy. Continental’s brand Uniroyal also made its way into the top 10. While the rain tire brand finished eighth with 19% for “Quality” and 20% for “Value for Money,” Uniroyal made it to ninth place for “Sportiness” with 9%. With 20%, the Semperit quality brand shared eighth place for “Value for Money” with Uniroyal.
