It is a framework agreement for a period of six years for plan development and preparatory work for the realization of the ZuidasDok. The first assignments for the combined group consist of designing, planning procedures and project management for a period of eighteen months. The total contract value for this period is approximately € 7 million, € 5 million of which will go to ARCADIS. This was announced by parties on Friday.
Project ZuidasDok concerns the expansion of the road capacity between the junctions ‘De Nieuwe Meer’ and ‘Amstel’ over a length of more than five kilometers and taking highway A10 underground in the vicinity of the Zuidas. In order to accommodate future growth of the number of commuters, Amsterdam Zuid station will be expanded and integrated into urban and regional public transport systems. The station will get new facilities and its transfer capacity will be enlarged and improved. Also train and metro platforms will be enlarged.
AT Osborne will act as process manager of the project on behalf of ARCADIS and Witteveen+Bos. This press release is to inform of the intent to award the contract of the Project organization ZuidasDok, a partnership of Rijkswaterstaat, ProRail and the municipality of Amsterdam. The notice for other parties to petition this award ends 12 June 2013.
