Acer’s current engagement with Red Peak Group will end on June 30; from July 1 the contract with Acer shall be amended to allow Red Peak to continue providing marketing services as an external agency. As part of the current engagement, Red Peak Chairman Michael Birkin joined Acer as chief marketing officer in 2012; he will be released from this role after June 30.
Acer announced its cooperation with Red Peak in August 2012 and hired Birkin as chief marketing officer with the goal of energizing and strengthening Acer’s global marketing organization, product strategy, and marketing effectiveness.
After nearly two years of partnership, Red Peak has completed its assignment and will continue its relationship with Acer as an external agency offering consultation and services tailored for Acer. Red Peak is a global marketing services firm founded by Birkin in 2010.
