Kundali matching or Kundli Milan as it is widely said in Hindi, is a traditional process prescribed in the ancient Vedic astrology, that every Indian household follows before a marital ceremony.
It is done by consulting an able astrologer to analyze and match the horoscopes of both the boy and the girl.
This is done with a goal to find out, whether the boy and the girl are suitable to become each others life partners having abundant marital bliss in their lives or not.
The astrologer looks at:
-
The planetary positions and aspects in their natal charts
ADVERTISEMENT -
Signs present in different houses of their horoscope
-
Guna Milan
-
Manglik Dosha
The significance of this process is backed by the very fact, that rate of divorces have always been extremely low in the Indian families.
This is not said with any disrespect to any other culture or community, but simply to point out that there must be some secret ingredient to the recipe of a successful marriage, when it comes to India.
Well, it’s actually not a secret!
Four major reasons behind Kundli Matching for marriage are:
Compatibility of Nature
Before even hoping for harmony between the life partners, the first and foremost requirement is a balance in the couples’ nature.
If one of them is aggressive then the other must be a person of calm and quiet nature so that in day-to-day interactions a balance is achieved.
We all live in a society, hence if one is an introvert, then the other should be confidently expressive to have a better communication in resolving issues that might arise in a relationship from time to time.
It is for the determination of the true nature of couples, their horoscopes are matched and among multiple analysis, a particular process of Gun Milan is done (Gun means Trait and Milan means Matching).
Gun Milan matches the personality traits of both the Boy and the Girl with each other to determine their compatibility with each other.
Childbirth
Post marriage, every couple wishes to become parents and expand their family tree.
Astrological analysis reveals what the native’s destiny signify when it comes to having a child or for that matter, children.
5th house of the horoscope is considered as the primary house of children in a native’s horoscope.
Some signs in the 5th house are considered as “Fertile Signs”, some as “Infertile Signs” and some as “Indecisive Signs” as far as pregnancy and childbirth are concerned.
Therefore a deep astro-analysis is required to see what the native has in his/her destiny when it comes to having a child.
Manglik Dosha
A dosha means a flaw and Manglik Dosha implies the flaw in a horoscope afflicted by a badly positioned Mars.
The importance of including & analyzing this factor at the time of Kundli Milan or Horoscope Matching, just can’t be stressed enough !
The Manglik Dosha in the horoscope of either the boy or the girl or even both, compels an astrologer to see not only how the harmony factor will play out in the couples lives but specifically this dosha if ignored and not treated timely, can single handedly destroy the marital lives of the couple by leading them to separation and even in some cases the death of one of the partner.
Financial Compatibility
Two individuals before marriage are separate destiny-wise, but as soon as they tie the knot, a commonly shared destiny is structured, which apart from affecting a numerous other aspects of their lives, shapes up their finances as well.
So, if their horoscopes lack coordination, than financial stability will get disturbed, thereby creating unnecessary friction and turbulence in the matters of money that are absolutely needed to ensure a smooth survival of the family in this materialistic world.
