The parties discussed the progress with implementing the Agreement of Cooperation. Special attention was paid to the creation of a new large gas production center in Yakutia. It was pointed out that Gazprom was performing geological exploration to start the pre-development of the main Chayandinskoye field as well as the Verkhnevilyuchanskoye, Sobolokh-Nedzhelinskoye, Srednetyungskoye and Tas-Yuryakhskoye fields.

Valery Golubev and Yegor Borisov considered the possibility of engaging local research institutes in Gazprom’s projects across the region. The decision was made that the Yakutian authorities jointly with Larionov Institute of Physical and Technical Problems of the North, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science and other research centers would select the innovations that Gazprom could apply.

The meeting also addressed the prospects for using the potential of the Yamal satellite communications and broadcast system for providing access to the satellite communication across the Republic, including broadcast and broadband networks. Gazprom and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) authorities are planning to sign a relevant Supplementary Agreement.
