DHL plans new logistics hub at Vienna airport


Starting in summer 2018, the DHL Campus Vienna Airport will be developed on premises measuring roughly 60,000 sqm in the Fischamend district. The facility will take on a key role as a freight hub for Eastern Europe in the future. Lufthansa Group flying to 260 destinations this winter


Thanks to the use of larger aircraft, the Group’s capacity in available seat-kilometres is increasing by 2.9 per cent compared with the same period last year. At the same time, the number of flights in the period of the timetable is going down by 2.9 per cent. Lufthansa suspends flights to Tel Aviv


Because of the uncertain situation at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel, the Lufthansa Group decided that flights of its airlines from and to Tel Aviv will be suspended for the next 36 hours. This applies to all flights by Lufthansa, Germanwings, Austrian Airlines and Swiss for the given time frame. Austria rolls out red carpet for Putin


The developments came during a high profile visit to Vienna by Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Alexei Miller, the head of Russian energy champion, Gazprom. Germanwings to take off from Düsseldorf as of 30 March The handover of direct flights from Lufthansa to Germanwings is also proceeding to plan, in several stages. The connections include those routes that do not operate through Lufthansa's Frankfurt and Munich hubs.
