Audi Environmental Foundation turns plastic waste into recreation areas

To create the park, the project partner filtered plastic waste out of the New Meuse River with the aid of specially designed collecting basins. The waste was then sorted and made into floating plastic islands. The landscaped islands now serve as recreation areas for port visitors and residents. Nokia is selected by Vodafone to be its technology partner for Mission to the Moon projec

Berlin-based company, PTScientists is working with Vodafone Germany and Audi to achieve the first privately-funded Moon landing. Mission to the Moon is due to launch in 2019 from Cape Canaveral on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Vodafone's network expertise will be used to set up the Moon's first 4G network, connecting two Audi lunar quattro rovers to a base station in the Autonomous Landing and Navigation Module (ALINA). Philips and the Dutch Heart Foundation join forces to promote heart health in the Netherlands

One of the key aims is to make the Netherlands a ‘6-minute cardiac arrest’ zone by extending a sustainable network of community first responders and AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) across the entire country. Toymaker Lego teams up with Chinese internet giant Tencent

Privately-owned Lego has seen a slowdown in sales growth in recent years, but the Chinese market has been a bright spot with sales growing 25-30 percent in 2016. It is competing with Barbie maker Mattel Inc (MAT.O) and Hasbro (HAS.O), the firm behind My Little Pony, for a slice of the $31 billion toys and games market in China. World’s first floating wind farm has started production


The 30MW wind farm, operated by Statoil in partnership with Masdar, is located 25 kilometers offshore Peterhead in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and will power approximately 20,000 households. “Hywind can be used for water depths up to 800 meters, thus opening up areas that so far have been inaccessible for offshore wind. Jackets for the platform were fabricated at the Galaktika shipyard in Astrakhan. Every jacket is sized 28.3х23.7х19 meters and weights over 2,500 tons.
