Volvo Car Group announces May retail sales: global sales growth of 5.5 per cent

China was Volvo’s biggest market in May, reporting retail sales of 7,045 cars, up slightly versus the same month last year. The best-selling cars were the locally produced Volvo XC60 and S60L models. The United States reported a sales increase of 10.2 per cent versus the same month last year. Retail sales amounted to 5,536 cars. Pope Francis to be awarded Charlemagne Prize on 6 May

The International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen is awarded for work done in the service of European unification. The prize is named after Charlemagne, the King of the Franks, who was revered by his contemporaries as the “Father of Europe”.
