Apple investigated by France for ‘planned obsolescence’

Under French law it is a crime to intentionally shorten lifespan of a product with the aim of making customers replace it. In December, Apple admitted that older iPhone models were deliberately slowed down through software updates. But it insisted it was because the phones' battery performance diminished over time. If you’ve noticed your older iPhone getting slower than it used to be, you’re probably not imagining it. Following reports earlier in the week, Apple has admitted that it does slow down old iPhones, but claims it’s actually to improve performance. Google faces mass legal action in UK over data snooping

It focuses on allegations that Google unlawfully harvested information from 5.4 million UK users by bypassing privacy settings on their iPhones. Just use "root" as a username, leave the password field blank and hit "Enter" a few times. Apple Reports Second Quarter Results

Apple® today announced financial results for its fiscal 2017 second quarter ended April 1, 2017. The Company posted quarterly revenue of $52.9 billion and quarterly earnings per diluted share of $2.10. These results compare to revenue of $50.6 billion and earnings per diluted share of $1.90 in the year-ago quarter.
