TCS recognised in the Global Dow Jones Sustainability Index 2016 for the fourth consecutive year


TCS is one of the only three Indian companies to be included in the World Index list. On Corporate Citizenship, Human Capital Development, Philanthropy and Environmental Reporting, TCS was placed on the 100th percentile. Tata Power’s Coastal Gujarat Power organises block-level workshop on participatory groundwater management


The objective of the workshop was to mobilise more stakeholders along with CGPL to participate in the participatory ground water management (PGWM) in the region. Tata Power undertakes school infrastructure development initiative in Maval, Maharashtra


The objective of the initiative was to promote quality education and help enrich the learning environment of the children. The local schools of Maval were deprived of basic essentials which impacted the attendance of students and quality education in the schools. Tata Power’s consumer base crosses the two-million mark


The increase in the consumer base in Mumbai was aided by the addition of 18,511 direct consumers to the company’s network and 42,157 changeover consumers in FY16 adding up to a total of 6,64,407 consumers. In FY16 Tata Power Delhi Distribution registered a consumer base of 15.15 lakh spanning an area of 510 sq km in northern and northwestern parts of Delhi. Tata Power’s generation capacity up by close to 9 percent in Q1 FY17 from Q1 FY16; achieves generation of 11,122 MU


Overall in Q1 FY17, company continued its robust operations with Maithon Power station generating 1,845 MU. Standalone generation for the quarter stood at 3,163 MU. Trombay Thermal Power generated 1,789 MU. Jojobera Thermal Power Station generated 698 MU and Haldia reported generation of 184 MU. Industrial Energy reported generation of 546 MU and TPREL, the renewable energy arm of Tata Power, generated 144 MU in Q1 that includes clean and green energy sources (wind and solar).
