Philips signs two long-term strategic partnership agreements in Germany

The Kliniken der Stadt Köln(Clinics of Cologne) and Philips signed a 15-year partnership contract, under the terms of which Philips will be responsible for the delivery, upgrade, replacement and maintenance services of advanced medical imaging solutions to support precision diagnosis and therapy. Philips will also help to improve the hospital’s radiology workflows to further enhance the quality and efficiency of its care, as well as patient and staff satisfaction. A modern freight center is being built on the 63,000 m² site, which not only will handle freight for DHL Freight’s Europe-wide network, but also will test innovative technologies and solutions for the terminal of the future. Volkswagen offers diesel customers security

The Volkswagen Group’s successful environmental incentive has already taken some 170,000 old diesel vehicles from the road since August 2017 and replaced them with efficient and clean current models. Approximately 120,000 of these customers have chosen a Volkswagen brand model. Lufthansa regains place as Europe’s biggest airline from Ryanair

The Lufthansa group as a whole carried 130 million passengers last year, it said on Wednesday. German spy agency warns of Chinese LinkedIn espionage

The agency alleges that Chinese intelligence used the networking site to target at least 10,000 Germans, possibly to recruit them as informants. It released a number of fake profiles allegedly used for this purpose. BfV head Hans-Georg Maassen said the accounts show China's efforts to subvert top-level German politics. "This is a broad-based attempt to infiltrate in particular parliaments, ministries and government agencies," he said.
