On June 1st, 2016, The Coca-Cola Company and Coca-Cola FEMSA, S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV: KOFL; NYSE: KOF) entered into an agreement with Unilever (LN: ULVR) to acquire the AdeS® business. Other Coca-Cola bottlers joined to participate in the investment prior the closing of the transaction. In addition, the companies have reached an agreement in principle for The Coca-Cola Company to acquire AB InBev’s interest in bottling operations in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho, El Salvador and Honduras for an undisclosed amount.
