- Sopra Group, a major European consulting, technological services and software publishing company, will be taking part in the Convention of the Departments of France on 9, 10 and 11 October in Lille.
- Sopra Group
The Group will be presenting its vision regarding digital technologies for the benefit of the regional and local authorities at an event of national dimensions, uniting departmental councillors, institutional stakeholders and companies at the invitation of the Nord Departmental Council.
Throughout the Convention, Sopra Group will be participating in round table discussions and coordinating interactive workshops at its stand (no. 32 and 34). Here, experts will be offering an insight into the Group’s digital expertise via a wide variety of technologies (Open Data, Mobility, Contactless, etc.) and explaining the “Digital Secondary School” project in detail, which aims to set up a shared digital workspace for all schoolchildren in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region.
Eric Lacomblez, Public Sector Manager at Sopra Group’s North-East Division, stated, “Sopra Group regularly supports the regional and local authorities, for which it is a long-standing preferred partner, in the roll-out of digital tools and solutions for the benefit of the citizens and in favour of local economic development. The Group thus recently collaborated with the Strasbourg Transport Company (CTS) on rolling out the U’GO application – an innovative contactless ticketing solution aimed at users of urban transport.”
With a presence in the north of France since 1986, Sopra Group is one of the largest service companies in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region and one of the region’s main employers. It has over 750 employees in Lille working in its two northern facilities – Immeuble Quartz, La Madeleine and Boulevard de la Marne, Tourcoing.
