- Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) has been named as one of four Construction Delivery Partners (CDPs) that will help deliver United Utilities’ AMP6 and potentially AMP7 Capital Programmes.
- Mott MacDonald
The new contract is expected to run until 2026, with a review after five years.
Individual projects may be of any value and be located throughout the United Utilities operational region.
MMB, the integrated joint venture between global consultant Mott MacDonald and civil engineering and construction contractor JN Bentley, signed the framework contract following a successful competitive procurement process.
This agreement will see MMB undertake the design and construction of projects across the whole of the United Utilities region and across the full spectrum of water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure, as well as energy related work.
News of this contract award follows the extension of MMB’s frameworks with both Severn Trent Water and Yorkshire Water into AMP6, which were announced in 2013, and the announcement in May 2014 of MMB’s appointment to Anglian Water’s new AMP6 Integrated Main Works Capital Alliance.
These frameworks will provide great opportunities for the staff of MMB, Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley in AMP6.
Bidding and strategy director Steve Tetlow said: “Mott MacDonald Bentley is pleased to have been selected by United Utilities as a Construction Delivery Partner. Our directly employed teams, and their supporting supply chains, have worked safely and efficiently over a long period of time, offering innovative services to the water industry that meet and exceed client needs. We look forward to using this experience to strengthen our existing relationship with United Utilities, and will work with their other delivery partners in order to provide a great outcome for United Utilities’ customers.”
