Cargolux receives its 30th new Boeing freighter since 1979


Cargolux named its latest freighter ‘Joe Sutter – Father of the 747’ in honor of the man who designed the 747 in the 1960s. The naming came as a surprise to Mr. Sutter, who only found out during the unveiling of the aircraft during the departure ceremony at Boeing’s Paine Field yesterday. Cargolux operates the first ever 747-8F flight to Manaus


Cargolux introduces its advanced Boeing 747-8 freighter on its regular cargo services to Manaus and becomes the first airline worldwide to operate the state-of-the-art workhorse to the Brazilian airport. ArcelorMittal sells its Kuzbass coal mines


The assets include the coal mines of Berezovskaya and Pervomaskaya, which together produce 700,000 tonnes of coal a year. ArcelorMittal acquired the Kuzbass mines in 2008 as part of the company’s strategy to secure delivery of coal to ArcelorMittal steel operations in Ukraine.
