Best Global Brands: No top-100 premium automotive brand makes bigger gains than MINI. Brand value rises 18 per cent, climbs ten places in Interbrand ranking


An emotional, authentic brand, with attractive products and distinctive brand communications: The systematic realignment of the MINI brand is proving a success. In the current Best Global Brands ranking compiled by the agency Interbrand, the value of the MINI brand climbed 18 per cent – the highest increase of any premium automotive brand in the top 100, with only two others able to match this strong rate of growth. BMW i and Garage Italia Customs to present the BMW i3 and the BMW i8 Garage Italia CrossFade in Paris


A collaboration between BMW Group Design and Garage Italia Customs has produced an innovative colour and material concept of two concept cars based on current BMW i models. The BMW i3 Garage Italia CrossFade and the BMW i8 Garage Italia CrossFade will be presented on 30 September 2016 at the start of the Mondial de l’Automobile 2016 in Paris. BMW Group achieves best-ever August sales


BMW Group sales continued their long-standing upward trend in August with a total of 165,431 vehicles delivered to customers around the world, an increase of 5.7% on the same month last year. ECKART 2015 award winner Claus Meyer uses prize money for social project. Witzigmann Academy visits Brownsville, New York City


Claus Meyer, co-founder of the New Nordic Cuisine and the world-famous Noma restaurant, won the ECKART 2015 for “Creative Responsibility and Enjoyment”, partly in recognition of his social commitment in Bolivia. Meyer has since shifted the focus of his activities to New York.
