DHL Express officially opens its new Brussels Hub

The state-of-the-art hub is equipped with the most recent logistics technology and will almost quadruple the capacity of DHL Express in Brussels to 42,000 shipments per hour. The hub, an investment of over 140 million euros including lease expenses, has seen the creation of an additional 200 new DHL jobs to date at the airport, three years earlier than initially planned. Forbes Media Announces Launch of Forbes Benelux and Forbes Monaco

Forbes Benelux will be published bi-monthly in English to start. In the future, it will also be made available in Dutch. Forbes Benelux will be edited in The Netherlands where it will be distributed as well as in Belgium and Luxembourg, with the initial launch in September 2018. Forbes Monaco, a new English language Monaco bi-monthly print and online edition, is scheduled to launch in June 2018. Belgium sells 2.53 bln euros of short-term debt

Yields on three-month paper rose to a negative 0.570 percent from a negative 0.621 percent last week. Paper expiring a year from now also rose compared to the last auction of 2017 to a negative yield of 0.546 percent. Belgium and the Netherlands swap land to change their national borders

The area affected, which is the size of 27 football fields, sits of east of the Belgian city of Vise and west of the Dutch village of Eijsden and on the river Meuse.  As of 2018 the countries’ border now goes down the centre of the river Meuse, with the Netherlands taking control of just over 40 acres of new land, while Belgium adopts around 8 new acres. The change was made after a peninsula on the river gained a reputation for lawlessness because of the geographical difficulties policing it from the Belgian side, which on paper controlled it. ... Denmark’s Novo Nordisk offers $3.1 billion for Belgian biotech group Ablynx

Ablynx already rejected an offer by the Danish group on Dec. 14 and Novo Nordisk said the new bid, made on Dec. 22, was some 14 percent higher. The Belgian company was not immediately available for comment on Monday. “Novo Nordisk regrets that the board of directors of Ablynx has so far declined to engage in any discussions, despite the proposals which have been put forward,” it said in a statement.
