Between Friday 13 December 2013 and Sunday 5 January 2014, a new record was set with almost 210,0001 passenger vehicles (cars, motorcycles, vehicles with trailers, caravans, camper vans and coaches) crossing, in both directions, between Folkestone in Kent and Coquelles in the Pas-de-Calais. Transaero’s ticket sales for New Year travel on its official web-site have increased by 40% over the previous New Year’s holidays. This festive season has set a new record as Transaero carried out flights from as many as 24 Russian cities, including Moscow and St Petersburg, while the previous New Year flight programme was performed from 19 cities.
