Mermaid of the North rules the waves again thanks to SSE


The 10 foot sculpture of the mythical ‘Mermaid of the North’ was a main visitor attraction of the area before it was removed after substantial damage during the severe storms of 2012. However following a successful application to the SSE Sustainable Development Fund earlier this year, she is once again back amongst the waves off Scotland’s coastline. Thomas Hamer won a silver medal at the Games and has added another piece of silverware to his collection, setting a new personal best in the S14 200m freestyle at the IPC European Swimming Championships in Eindhoven. Anglian Water: Have a ‘wheely’ great time on new cycle path from St Neots to Grafham Water


The high quality, all-weather cycle path forms part of the National Cycle Network and will join up with the popular cycle routes around the Anglian Water-owned water park.
