German Youth Olympic team flies with Lufthansa to Nanjing


Let the adventure begin. For the first time there will be 84 junior German athletes taking in the Olympic atmosphere. To ensure that these sportsmen and women can enjoy this exciting trip to the second Youth Olympic Games from the word go right up to the very last minute, the team is flying to Nanjing with Lufthansa, the official airline of the German Olympic Sports Confederation. Venturi: Racing against weather

Venturi: Speed Week cancelled


Powerful storms have made conditions on the salt impossible to hold races. The annual event typically draws over 600 speed cars. Venturi and its partner, The Ohio State University Center for Automotive Research planned to test the VBB-3, the world's most powerful electric car, during the Speed Week before racing against it's own 2010 FIA record (495k/h). Local children’s football team scores with a donation from Alstom and DF


The club was formed in the summer of 2009 by a group of local people with the aim of creating a community-based football club. Affiliated with the Cheshire Football Association, there are currently more than 80 local children from Partington and Carrington associated with the club.
